Omega 3 is a common term for a group of polyunsaturated fatty acids. These fatty
acids are called essential nutritions. This means that it’s something the body
needs, but can’t produce on its own, and therefore we must take in this from
what we eat.
Omega 3 fatty acids from sea food are long, polyunsaturated fatty acids, and they
separate from the shorter omega-3 acid from plants. Therefor we call the omega-3
acids from fish and other sea food for the marine omega-3 acids.
The marine omega-3 acids have scientifically documented positive effects for health
and especially for protection againts heart diseases.
